Feeling envious of the Front Row feature of new Mac models, but not enough cash to upgrade? Fear not! Here’s CenterStage – The Mac Media Center to the rescue!

This free, Open Source software is made of two components:

“CenterStage is the Media Center Application that allows you to use the digital content stored on your Apple Macintosh computer, and play it in a more comfortable environment such as your living room using any standard TV set.

“Accompanying CenterStage is sister application BackStage, used to organise and catalogue all your movies in one neat interface: Add digital movie content to BackStage—even those not supported by Apple iLife applications—and they will be ready to view, play and interact with via the CenterStage interface.”
