If you feel confident that you can do a laptop upgrade or repair job yourself, you can save a LOT of money. Have a look at PB FixIt’s web site for a nice selection of step-by-step FixIt Guides :

They also stock and sell the part you may need. prices are not discounted as those you could get through eBay (for instance), but I’ve seen worse – and it is still a LOT cheaper than paying for an Original Apple Replacement Part!
